Market Update - A Local Perspective

New Castle County, DE

New Castle County  experienced a 15.7% increase in the number of sold homes for the year 2015 compared to 2014 and a 5.9% increase in the median price of sold homes, from $205,000 to $217,000. The number of homes that went under contract in 2015 increased 17.0% from 2014.

Kent County, DE

For the year 2015, Kent County experienced a 15.3% increase in the number of sold homes compared to 2014 and a 3.0% increase in the median sales price from $185,000 to $190,500. The number of homes that went under contract in 2015 increased 13.2% from 2014.

Sussex County, DE

For the year 2015, Sussex County experienced an 8.9% increase in the number of sold homes compared to 2014 and a 1.2% increase in the median sales price from $245,000 to $248,000. The number of homes that went under contract in 2015 increased 15.4% from 2014.

Southern Chester County, PA

Southern Chester County  experienced a 16.7% increase in the number of sold homes in the year 2015 compared to 2014 and a 2.7% increase in the median price of sold homes, from $339,900 to $349,000. The number of homes that went under contract in the 2015 increased 15.7% from 2014.

Cecil County, MD

For the year 2015, Cecil County experienced a 23.2% increase in the number of sold homes compared to 2014 and an increase in the median sales price of 2.3%; from $194,500 to $199,000. The number of homes that went under contract in 2015 increased 20.0% from 2014.
